If you are involved in an accident or a collision...
First, check for injuries. If there are, call 911 or the police. Your safety and the safety of others should be your number one priority. It is also our priority.
Make sure you and others are a safe distance from traffic. Don’t stay on the road or in front of your vehicle, you could be in a second accident.
You may be asked by the police or another party to show your licence, registration and proof of insurance at the scene of the accident. Try not to discuss the details of the accident too much with anyone other than the police and your insurance agent.
